BOWLERS NOSED OUT A picked team from Sea Isle City nosed out the Cape May Bowling Club on the Congress Alleys last Monday, with a total surplus of six 4>oints. Cape May captured the first game, 1 733 to 720, the second game went to 1 £ca Isle, 791 to 77"?, while Sea Isle < won the final match with a scant two ' point margin- Sea Isle's total was i 2294, Cape May's total being 2288. The game was far the best that has « been played so far, the result being - In doubt until the last pin dropped- \ High Score for Cape May was made J by Snyder, with 189 in the second f game. Fehrle, as usual, led Sea Isle with 198 in the second. A return, match will be played at c Sea Isle City Tuesday night- " OCEAN CITY SERIES At last the coveted series with Ocean City has been arranged. Manager George Doerner announced yesterday that final plans had been accented and gave the schedule as follows: . August 10 — At Ocean City. August 17 — At Cape May. August 25 — At Ocean City. August 28 — At Cape May. • If this four game series results in a tie, the fifth game will probably be played in Wildwood. . HEAVY STORM TUESDAY An unusually heavy summer storm occurred Tuesday, about 12:30, in which Bay Shore towns, notably Fishin" Creek and Green Creek, were severely damaged. The largest ha'" stones ever known in this section fell. The storm cut down corn, and broke many windows, while the force of the wind was sufficient to uproot numbers of small trees. The roads in some sections were made bleBut this as far as we are willing to go. J., which will he held Sabbath morning, August 13th, promises to -be an interesting one. The speaker of the morning will be Hon. John M. Patterson, of Philadelphia- Former Judge Patterson is well known to many Philadelphians who are spending the summer at Cape May and a large audience will undoubtedly be present to hear his address. The soloist of the mornin" will be Mr. Walter Reeves, of Millville, N. J. Mr. Reeves will be Assisted by the Shek!nah Male Quartette also of Millville, and a delightful musical program is assured.
