1 Chats with Your | Gas Man a 2 To obtaia full economy from the use of gas, keep cafefil! H yx watch of yonr gas flame. The correct flame is blue. If the flame U ■ is white or yellow, the mixture of gas and air entering the burner ^ is imperfect. This, can be remedied by adjusting the air shatter H on the mixing tube, or, fin extreme cases, by adjusting the size of gv the gas orifice. B A yellow flame is wasteful. ■ The Restful Bed Room X Perhaps the greatest mistake that may be made in the ^ finishing and furnishing of the bedroom is to over-decor-H ate and over-color it. The bedroom is intended to be a j place where one can relax completely, and grnt care should W be taken that no part of it is too noticeable. The hangmm ings, the walls, the rugs, the furniture, and the woodwork should all be subdued and restful. We Bhow a number of such designs in our plan books- You will find in them * X many interesting suggestions which will help you to kqep H your bedrooms well within the bounds of godo taste and fid good sense. ^ Wherever possible bedrooms should be located on the 0 sunny side of the house and generous provisions made for ■ ... natural light and good ventilation. The colorings of the 7 bedrooms should be carefully studied. 1 ADAPTED FROM THE MORGAN COMPANY BOOK ' "BUILDING WITH ASSURANCE" 0 ASK TO SEE THIS BOOK OF HOME BUILDING IDEAS D
