LONG TIME OVERDUE VESSEL REPORTS IN At about 8 o'clock Monday evening one of the U. S. C. G. patro boats an sea duty wirelessed Section Base Nine and relayed a message from a vessel which had been encountered at sea. The message follow.^: "Boat James M, Hall, ten days out of New York, bound for Charleston, South Carolina, Captain J. A. Ridda, position, Latitude 38:40, longitude 74.02. Please report same to New York Herald." The message was relayed thru the local correspondent to the newspaper and nothing more was learned of why the vessel had only reached a point off Cape May in ten days travelling.

Many huatnaaa concerns closed j their door* for on hour Monday in re*pect to Mayor Richard 8. Culver who died last Friday night at hi* .summer home in Burleigh opposite the Wildwood Golf Course. The entire resort was in mourning aa the body of the chief executive lay in state Monday at the First M. E Church following it's removal from the residence. The funeral procession left the Burleigh home on the Shore road at 9:30 and wrns met at the Rio Grande entrance to the resort by aii escort of police and firemei which paraded with the body to the church. The body was on view from 11 am. -until 1:30 p.m. ami at 2 p.m. the Rev. D. C. Cobb, pas tor of the church conducted the services.
