l inrolre The only requirement on P«rty boat fishing, Jackson said, is for the operators of boats to obtain are no restrictions for to prevent fishermen from enjoying their sport from party boats, piers, rowboats or m tiie surf,” Director Jackson said. *'I have heard of reports being circulated to the effect that anglers must be licensed and that they must be fingerprinted. This Is untrue. I have checked witn Coast Guard authorities and everyone may fish wherever he desires. Night angling in the surf Is banned, but during the day, party boat fishing, fishing from piers and in the surf, bay or any other waterway is permitted. Mr. Jackson is directing the seventh annual Cape May County fishing contest, and reports considerable activity among the party boats, despite rumors to the con-
trary.
Over the holiday weekend, the boats were heavily loaded with anglers, and large catches of seabass, croakers and porgies were made. Equally active - — . —- fishing in Delaware Bay with big catches being made. The drum fishing season is now at its height and the fish are plentiful. George Fontaine, Lower Township committeeman, reported an 83 pound drum caught off Wildwood Villas. Mr. Jackson reminded anglers who make catches not to hesitate to send their entries in immediately so they may be eligible for the weekly drawing prise. He also said that those who miss salt water fishing this season are missing the best fishing along the shore in recent years.

Will tell my local paper that the reports about this resort are false. There are no signs of submarines, oil on the water, or wire on the beaches. I have found it peaceful and would like you to print this. MRS. J. -A. S1EB, JR. 112 Cottman Street Cheltenham, Pa. WANTS GRAVES MARKED To the Editor: How and why have the Union Veterans of the Civil War been forgotten on Memorial Day it Cape May County (the originators of Memorial Day through their President Abe Lincoln, General Logan and General Grant)? Why are American Legion’s graves decorated and Union Veterans of the Civil War (one veteran in particular who served at the battlefront the duration of the Civil War or four years, nine months in two enlistments in the United States Volunteera not as a drafted man)? This Civil War Veteran's grave has been left bare — this is the second Memorial Day . . . Who only has a bare G.A.R. Veterans' marker placed on his grave by his comrades many years ago . . . His comrades and their sons who never missed a .Soldier’s grave decorate it with a flag and flower on Memorial Day no matter in what war they served the Un-
ion,
Now this is the second Memorial Day our Union Veteran of the Civil War graves have been left undecorated, neither flag nor flower placed on their graves Memorial Day. Why are their graves left bare on Memorial Day? CAROLYN PRICE Past Dep't. President, New Jersey Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War, *Ape May Court Hflusc.
