MRS. ELLA PHILUPS COLD SPRING—Mrs. Ella Phillips, widow of the late Edward Phillips, Sr., of Cold Spring, died Monday at the home of her son, Edward H. Phillips, after having been ill for several weeks. She

was 70.

with the Rev. John Pemberton, Poughkeepsie, N. Y., officiating. Interment was made at Cold Spring Cemetery. Mrs. Phillips leaves three sons, Dr. Claude Phillips, of Collingswood; Robert and Edward, both of this place; one sister, Mrs. Myra Hoffman, and a brother, George Ewing. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church at Cape May. WILLIAM F. HAND William F. Hand, son of the late William F. and Ann Maria Hand, died on Thursday, June 4th, in his 79th year. Mr. Hand Was born in Cape May and was a descendent of Recimpense and Rebecca Hand who were fonner pioneers of Cape Island, which is now Cape May. Mr. Hand is survived by his widow, Lillian M., and four daughters, Mrs. Peter Schoenberg, of Philadelphia; Mrs. Morris Briggs, of Langhorn, Pa.; Mrs. George Dunkel, of Laurel Springs; Mrs. Boulden Rank, of Washington, D. C., and two sisters, Mrs. Charles Brelsford, and Mrs. Herbert Rank, of Washington, D. C. Mr. and Mrs. Hand would have celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary on June 10th. Private services were held at the late residence at Miami Beach, followed interment under the direction of Earl L. Hollicgsead, mortician, in the Green Creek Cemetery.
