Health League Stays Active Plans for a busy sommer filled with activities designed to carry on the regular program of the Cape Hay County Health League and meet war needs have been outlined by Miss Natalie Hand, EJ'J., at the request of the organization’s executive board. Miss Hand sf®PHhat while attendance at clinics is usually low during the summer months, more tuberculosis is frequently found due to the higher percentage of cases referred by physicians and

Admissions to hospitals must be facilitated and plans made for examination and care of patients’ families, she said. Miss Hand will continue to in-

by induction boards. These frequently have the disease active stages which, while rendering them unavailable for military service, may not prevent them from returning to their regular jobs. In cases where the man’s present employment is considered unsuitable the Cape May County Health League is cooperating with the State Rehabilitation Service through the New Jersey Tuberculosis League in placement and retraining. Opportunity will be found through summer fairs and festivals and other seasonal activities for continuation of the League's year-round educational program, including lectifres and pamphlets, with emphasis on war-time health needs. Material is available on a variety of health topics and requests will be filled promptly, Miss Hand said.

THANK PUBLIC, NOT US To the Editor: I am taking this means of thanking you personally for the helpful cooperation of yourself and your associates in the newspaper profession in New Jersey in pressing the public to do its full part in the special scrap rubber recovery drive which ends today. I feel that whatever success we have achieved i% this drive can be credited to a very large extent -to the generous cooperation of the newspapers of the state. Again, with many thinks, I am Sincerely yours, CHARLES A, EATON, Jr.

1 should like to bring to your attention the non-expedient manner in which you . treated the article “Accepted Selectees Leave Saturday" on the front pag the Thursday, July 9th edi I am referring in particular to the manner in which you definiteJy separated names of Negro and white selectees covering the entire area of Cape May County. The purpose of your article, I believe, was to inform the reading public of those men who had been called to serve in the armed forces of our country. The mere fact that these men come of two races, as trivial ns that should be, should have had no place your article. Whether he be black Tom Brown or a white Tom Brown, we as your readers
