Leading Clerics Will Address Bible Conclave

_ Bible and Missionary Conference to be held under Baptist auspice* in Cape May from August 2 to August 21. Among them will be Dr. E. T. DahU>erg, pastor of the First Baptist Church, Syracuse, N. Y., • an authority on the application of Christian principles to social problems; the Rev. Luther Wesley' Smith, executive secretary of the American Baptist Publication Society; the Rev. G. Pitt Beers, executive secretary of the American Baptist Home Mission Society; and the Rev. W. L. Woodbury, secretary of evangelism of the American Baptist Home Mission Society. Conference discussion leaders during the week beginning August £ will be the Rev. Anthony Vasques, Italian missionary, of Brooklyn; Dr. Mabel Lee, Chinese missionary, New York; Miss Mary Butler, missionary from Nicaragua, and (he Rev. H. C. Loughhead, director of town and country work in Pennsylvania. Christian education conference, leaders will be Miss Pearl Rosser, director Children's Division; the American Baptist Publication Society; Dr. Oliver deW Cummings, secretary of the Baptist Youth Fellowship, and Dr. Smith. There will be a special conference for women in charge of the Woman’s American Baptist Home Mission Society on Wednesdsy, August 5, Miss A. W. S. Brimson, executive secretary of the society, presiding. The program of music will under the direction of the Rev.'] Charles W. Jewitt, bf the North Wildwood Baptist Church. Miss Edith Edmunds, of the Cape Island Baptist Church, will be organist. The second week of the conference will be devoted to foreign missions, and the third to a Throughout all periods Bible Study classes will be held each morning.

Cape Theatre Review By the Observer On Tuesday evening the Cape Theatre opened another interesting week of production with the new comedy "Three Days to Wair by GabrieL R. Walling. The cast was as follows: Judg Warren, W. James Bedell; Mr. Stanley, T. C. Upbam; Claire .Stuart, Ruth Gregory; Frank Wayne, Philip Earle; Jimmie Stuart, Guy Maynard; Pete Harmon, MacGregor Gibb; Mabel Harmon, G. June Wilgus; Jerry Hudaon, John Byers; Ethel Maytag, Florence McGee; Johnson, Edward Hunt; Timothy Maytag, John Lynda. r The setting of the play is the Office-center of a tourist tamp in northern California and in this attractive background an entertaining romantic comedy is playad. Prominent in the cast again .this week U Mr. Bedell, who as an 80-year-old justice of the r e, is once more the comedy of the show. But also to be highly commended in this production are Florence McGee. Philip Earle, John Byers and Ruth Gregory, who have the four romantic, wading roles. Miss Gregory with a very long, role was fine and atrong. Guy Maynard as the boy gave a very winning performance. “Three Days to Wait" was staged by Mr. Lynds, and the set was designed and executed by Mr. Gibb, assisted by Mr. Byers. In charge of props was Virginia LaSalle On Sunday and Monday nights the junior group will present the famous comedy-drama “Thfe Silver Cord* - by Sidney Howard. In the can will be G. June Wilgus, Connie Dilks, Virginia La Salle, Edw»-u Hunt, and Philip Field. The professional production for next week will be “The Children’s Hour," with Florence McGee in the role she created on Broadway and played as the star for two •ad a half years. TAKES OVER SHOP Robert Delom, hair stylist, forffwriy at Paris, New York and Fust Lauderdale, Fla., has taken over the operation of June's Beauty Shoppe, 1159 Lafayette street, for the remainder of the summer, while Mrs. Scott, proprietor, is on an extended leave.
