Men Of Church In Service Honored COLD SPRING — At the Sunday evening service of the Cold Spring Presbyterian Church honor was accorded to the 16 young men of the church who have answered their country’s call and are serving in the armed forces. A service flag with 16 blue stars was presented by Boy Scouts Robert Swain and Henry C. Needles, and was accepted and dedicated by Elder Richard E. Reeves. Baskets of flowers were presented to the families of men represented. Mrs. R. Clifton Ware, organist, was assisted by Howard G. Reeves, of Philadelphia, and a trumpet and violin duet was played by Buddy and Robert Swain. Men of the church in the armed forces are William T. Bullock, Navy; Henry H. Eldredge, Army; Rutherford LeGates, Navy; Walter Lee LeGates, Navy; Horace S. Miller, Army; Paul A. Monday, Army; James Warden Needles, Army; Charles Davis Reeves, Navy; Courtland V. Reeves, Navy; Samuel W. Reeves, Jr., Army; William Irwin Swain, Navy; Thomas Durell Taylor, Navy; Andrew Tumier, Navy; Samuel B. Turnier, Navy; Charles J. Sandgran, Navy; and Harry Hunter, Army. The latter two have recently enlisted. Lifeguard Ball To Be Held Hext Week The Cape May Beach Patrol will hold the annual Lifeguards' Ball at Congress Hall on Wednseday evening, August 26. The ball will be one of the season' "outstanding events. The ball program includes music by Curt Wc-iler’s Quartette, taps by Jerry Love, and Susan Long, blues singer. Tickets are bn sale at every lifeguard stand fend at Beach Patrol headquarters. The headquarters will be open for inspection all this week. On Saturtay evening at 7 o’clock, the Beach Patrol will have another rescue demonstration consisting of mass can rescue, boat rescues, torpedo can rescue and boat rescue with all beach units participating.

LIST SPECIAL SERVICE At the mid-week service at the First Presbyterian Church on ' Wednesday, August 26, at 8 p.m., the Schofield Jubilee Singers will offer a program of sacred music, particularly Negro spirituals. These singers and their sponsor, the Rev. R. DeOrenzella, are in Cape May for the summer.

French, to Ensign Thomas Veasey Zug, U.S.N.R., son of Mrs. Charles Keller Zug and the late Mr. Zug, of Chestnut Hill, Pa. Miss French is a popular member of the summer colony younger set and has spent her summers here with her parents for a number of years.

Mrs. Ella M. Abele, wife of Arthur C. Abele, formerly of Camden, and late of 431 Rio Grande avenue, Wildwood, died at her home there on Tuesday, August
18. She was 91 years of age.
Mrs, Abele was born in Rio Grande, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Mary R. Crease. Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at the late residence in Wildwood, with the Rev. William Bullock, pastor of the Old Brick Church, officiating. Interment under the direction of Earl L. Hollingsead, mortician, will be made in the Cold Spring
Cemetery.
