Albert Gillotti, of Philadelphia, has been enjoying a weeks vacation in Cape May. Mr. and Mrs. James Spear, of Chesapeake City, Md., are guests at the Moore cottage on Perry street this week. Mrs. Henry Hohnhorst has returned to her home in Logan, Pa. after spending several weeks here with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. William H. Stevens, at their Hughes street cottage. Richard Stevens, who was here for a week with his parents, returned to Boston, Mass, on Monday. Foulois Resigns Defense Post ATLANTIC CITY — Resignation of Major General Benjamin D. Foulois as regional defense director became effective Tuesday, and his duties passed to W. Graham Ferry, his deputy, in conjunction with the Camden regional director. General Foulois, who resigned to avoid having his duties in civilian defense conflict with his campaign as the Republican didate for Congress, this week said that he would still cupied the better part of Tuesday with turning his office over to his successor. Ferry, journal clerk of the State Senate and a member of the Atlantic City Board of Education, was appointed deputy i gional director last March at salary of $3,600. Civilian defense activities in Cape May, Atlantic and Cumberland Counties der his supervision.
