Cape Gridmen On All-State ‘Dream Team’ Cepe May High School gridmen placed high on lists of all-state rod all-South Jersey football 4tars this week, according to selections of outstanding high school players made recently by —sport* writers of some of the state’s largest daily newspapers. According to all-state selections ‘made by G. A. Falser, Newark Sunday Call sports editor and field secretary of the New Jersey State Athletic Association, Shaw, Cape May guard, placed on the mythical first team, while Ruth•erford, Cape May quarterback, placed on Falxer's second team selections. In the All-South Jersey selections made by Dave Brady,‘sports writer of the Camden CourierPost, two other Cape May play--ers placed on the mythical second team. They are Shaw, at guard, and Vanaman at tackle. Named for honorable mention on the Courier-Post selections were Parincllo, end, Bose, tackle, ■Cannone, tackle, Purnell, guard, Cooper, back. All are Cape May players. Robenson and Cross, both of Middle, placed on Brady's first team line-up. On his second team axe Henderson, guard and Hand, end, both Middle players, and Allegretto, center, of Ocean City. - In the annual selections of outstanding high school players, Gape May outranked virtually all other South Jersey schools of •comparable size. On Falzer’s mythical line-ups for his dream teams, Clayton and Pitman High Schools were the only other South Jersey schools to have representation. Each had one member on his aflstate team.
