The high school team played heads-up ball and defeated a big Army team by a 33-30 score. Led by the sharp-eyed tosser Cooper, the high school team forced the play right from the beginning, notching a 9-1 lead at the first quarter. ' There was bang-up action in the fourth quarter with both teams determined to bring home the bacon. In the spirited play, two high school boys were banned via the personal foul route as were two Army team members. Stylists Lead In Club Pin Tourney
Kiwania bowlers rolled out the old year with a doable header at the Cepe Recreation Center Wednesday night. The games scheduled for the week of December 23 were called off. It was a bad i ‘ ‘ all around. Even the turkey Cresae had penned up in his back yard for a Christmas high score got out somehow. There must have been a blackout. The turk is etll at large. Well, the double header went rer big. The boys knocked 'em >wn till the early hours of the morning. Five dollars ' from the bowling jack pot and put up for prises. The first prize of $2.50 for high team, three games, went to Kid Hughes and his Troubleshooters with a 2467 score. For single high game individual, one dollar went to Bo so Lehman with a 233 score. High three g&nes individual went to Big Eddie Griffin with a 699 score. Fifty cents went to Johnny “Doughboy” Utz for low of the evening with a 105 score. And on top of all this, big

12 fouls. Dunne had four counters, a 213 game. Yes, sir. There surely
is a Santa Claus. And now geting down to the double header.... The Stylists took three and lost three. In other words, they didn’t move an inch. Captain Mark had a bad night. Christmas shop him- down. Harris, the 1 only one big game, 195. Kingfish Hollingsead was doing plenty * backfiring and Andy Steger i way off shore. Kid Hughes and his Troubleshooters picked up a game, winning four and dropping two. His two sticks of dynamite, Lehman and Griffin, blasted out some heavy charges. Eddie had a 199 average for three games. That’s going to
town.
Honest Amos Ricker and his bunch took four and dropped two which puts them within three. K mes of the Stylists, the league

Handsome Wally, fcis anchor man. rolled three beautiful games, 186-199 and 183. Big Little A1 hit 212 and 213. Kiwanian Chas. “Choy” Shields will donate another free grease job next week for two consecutive 200 games, so roM your heads off, boys, and get some more smooth going.
