| We were all over at Bess Batten’s for our weekly luncheon, enjoying one of the grandest programs ever put on by the club. Our good old music committee, Klinky Ware, the Huey Dougberg ’ of Kiwanis, and Brother Put ughea, the basso de-luxe, put on a musical program that would knock you into the middle of next week. You should have heard that Tidewater Quartette, Allan Hand, tenor, “Pretty” Les Hand, baritone, “Klinky’ lead and Put baaso. Brother, when they got through with “johnny Doughboy” and “My Gal Sal" you were ready to fold up, and then we had two wonderful juvenile artists, Dave Hart with his accordion, and Bill Wright with his saxophone, and I wouldn’t dare forget to say my guiding star was at the ivories. But all of a sudden Judge Landis was paged to the phone and got the bad news. No bowling. Measles had sabotaged the alleys. Pinboys must stay five miles apart. Well, I "•broke the news gently, hut the air was blue and every other color of the rainbow so all of thia brought us down to another double header, and that hard-hitting, unbeatable gang of Stylists — Captain Frymire, Klngfish, Hollingsead, Harris the Fox, and Andy Steger—kept up ^their winning streak and knocked Bthe ears off the entire outfit, takrjng six straight games and pranc- ^ ed into first place, winning 25

and losing 11 out of 36.

LOCAL GIRL AT YWCA POST IN DETROIT Mrs. Snow F. Grigsby, the former S. Lavinia Moore, daught of William J. Moore, of W« Cape May, is in charge of a m YWCA in Detroit, Midi., it waa learned this week. Mrs. Grigsby, who formerly was attached to the Germantown YWCA, is Middle states singles champion in tennis and badminton. She is a graduate of Cape May High School and West Virginia State University where she took a Bachelor of Science degree in physidal education. In her new position, Mrs. Grigsby is in charge of the gymnasium and pool.
