Persons seeking: to kern -thfe amount of wages earned daring 1942 for the purpose of fiRng income tax returns were urged this week not to request such information from the ‘ Security Board, is impossible for the board to give a wage earner a statement showing the total wages he has earned during the calendar year 1942,” Eugene J. Fitzsimmons, manager of the Atlantic City field office, explained today “This is doe to the delay in filing of the Social Seennty tax returns of employers and the length of time required to process and post the earnings of millions of workers. Consequently, our records do not show wages earned after June

30, 1942.”

Fitzsimmons pointed out that ost employers upon request will furnish their workers with a statement showing total wages paid for the entire year. “However,” he continued, “if any worker desires to ascertain whether his wages have been correctly reported and credited to his old-age and survivors insurance account he can obtain a statement showing the wages credited up to July 1, 1942. A post card form is provided for persons requesting a

statement.
