First Fans Credit Loan Made Here A. S. Walker, .'of Erma, Regional Agricultural Credit Corporation representative for Cape May County, today announced that the first loan under the emergency food production program has been made to a Cape May County farmer to grow 80 acres of beans for freezing and 16 acres of potatoes. The loan was arranged through the county war board office located at the County Agent’s office, Cape MayCourt House. With heavy demands on the food supply, fhe Regional Agricultural Credit Corporation was established as an available source of credit to make sure that no fanner capable of producing a commercial quantity of essential food products should be unable to do so because of a lack of funds to do the job. Walker emphasized, however, that while loans through the Regional Agricultural Credit Corporation can be made for almost any agricultural purpose, farmers are urged to use established sources of credit such as banks and production credit associat for their financing. Applications for these loans can be made at any time at the office. Mr. Walker will usually be at the office on Wednesdays, otherwise by appointment.
