Miss Dorothy Blair, of Philadelphia, was a Saturday and Sunday visitor at the home of her parents, the Rev. and Mrs. Samuel Blair, 313 Franklin street. Mrs. Elsie Arnold has returned home after spending last weekend in Philadelphia with friends. Miss Ruth Hunt, who has been staying in New York City with friends for some time, returned home the latter part of the week. Mr. and Mrs. Robert WetheriD, of Chester, Pa., opened their summer cottage at 1517 Beach avenue, over the weekend. Mrs. Delevan Downer, of Xew York City, is occupying her Stockton avenue cottage for a few days this week. Mrs. Charles Mitchell, of Phil; adelphia, is spending several days at the Batten Cottage Washington street. Mr. and Mrs. George Gaffney and their daughter Louise spent Sunday in Ocean City. Miss Bette Curtis, a student at the College of Chestnut Hill, Chestnut Hill, Pa., enjoyed Saturday and Sunday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George S. Curtis, at 316 Franklin street. Mr. .and Mrs. Walter Trout entertained the latter's brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond L. Fite, and their children, Robert, Raymond and Betty, of Ocean City, on Sunday. Lewis T. Stevens and his daughter Katherine, were in Philadelphia for the day on Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Moore were weekend visitors in Philadelphia. Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Connelly entertained the latter's sister. Miss Nellie Green, of Philadelphia, over the weekend. Mrs. William Camp has returned to her Windsor avenue cottage after spending Thursday and .Friday in Pottstown, Pa., as the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Barnett, summer residents of this resort. Mrs. Alex C. Lyle, accompanied by Miss Amy Lyle, were Philadelphia visitors for the day on Tuesday. Mrs. Amy Lyle will spend the remainder of the week with relatives in Wayne, Pa. Mrs. Gys Reif returned to her home on Decatur street last Friday after spending several days in Philadelphia. She was accompanied home by her daughter, Mrs. William Frank Spang,. and her infant daughter, Billie ‘FrankliWr who will remain with her indefinite! v. Charles Little, of Pony street, is spending a few days in Flourtown, Pa.- with his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Nixon. Miss Edna Learning enjoyed the weekend at home with her mother, Mrs. J. Spicer Learning, Sr., who is ill at her home, 66-1 Hughes street, under the care of a trained nurse. Miss Learning is a student at Ursinus College. Mrs. Martin Foley, of Camden, is visiting her mother, Mrs. Elisabeth Shields, for some time. Howard Riley, U.S.C.G., stationed at Curtis Bay, Md., spent the past weekend at this resort with his parents, Mr. and Mr*. Guy E. Riley, of 1199 Lafayette •treet. Joseph S. K. Hand, U.S.N.R., who is stationed at the Philadelphia Navy Yard, spent the weekend here with Mrs. Hand at the El Drisco apartments. IMrs. Elizabeth Smith, a trained nurse who has been caring for Sally Swanson who is convalescing from pneumonia at the home of her parents, Lieutenant and Mrs. Charles Swanson, returned to her home, 6041 locust street, Philadelphia, on Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Van Zant were in Philadelphia on Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Ogden •pent Saturday and Sunday in Camden, as the guests of the former’s parents. Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Ogden. Sr. Mr. and Mrs. Horace Church are entertaining Mr. and^MrsRobert Hand, of Tampa. Fla., for a few days. They will also spend some time as the guest of his parents. Sr., of Ocean City, sprtit the weekend with their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Bentham, Jr., of Pennsylvania avenue. Mr. and Mrs. Stuart Wilkins, of j Idaho avenue, had as their weekend guests Miss Hilda Redholtz and James Coon, of Washington, D. C. Lieutenant (jg) and Mrs. Robert Kahn, of 1223 Maryland avenue. are in Philadelphia for several days. Mrs. C. J. Knight, Jr. has returned from Philadelphia where she spent several weeks with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John T. Cargee. Ensign and Mrs. Knighf entertained C. J. Knight, Sr., of Philadelphia, during the weekend. Blake Hayman, of Yeadon, Pa., is spending some time in Cape May overseeing the Haymans’ Reading avenue cottage.

Mrs. Jowett returned home Sundayevening and Corporal Jowett left for Fort Benning, Ga. to report for duty Monday morning. Mrs. Carl Yonngberg, accompanied by her daughter, Mrs. Raymond Otter, visited Mr. Youngberg in the Atlantic City Hospital on Saturday. He is convalescing after a major operation performed last week.
