No Extra Fuel To Offset Cut, OPA Head Says The Camden OPA Diistrict OffSj fice today urged "B” and ,“C*’ gas- \ oline book holders not to seek J supplemental rations from their / local boards- , It was reported by the district office that a large number of "B" and “C" book holders have been making application for supple--mental rations in view of the recent cut in value of the “B” and

“C” coupons.

Earlier last week OPA cut the value of “B" and “C” coupons from three gallons to two and one-half gallons. “There are several ways tc beat this cut," said Harrison M Willis, chief rationing officer of South ^Jersey. * “We know that bus transportation has also been cut, but buses should be used two or three times a week instead of using the car all week. Gasoline can be saved in this manner. “Plant transportation committees have been formed in industrial plants, and they are working toward car clubs and the combining of car clubs, whereby the reduction of gasoline can be ac-

complished.

“The gasoline just isn’t here,” emphasised Willis. “War Price and Rationing Boards will not ' issue any additional coupons to JukA'up for the value lost in reductio# of the coupons. “The public has been called to make many sacrifices, but will have to make more, in order to •end the gasoline to our armed foces, who so vitally need it. “The chiseler who uses gasoline to run his car for other than the most essential needs is helping to prolong the war and cause needless sacrifice of lives by those who are doing the actual fighting for ua.*’ '
