Bwciig Bouts At Base Tuesday Evening
A series of boxing bouts will be held Tuesday evening at the recreation hall at the Cape May Naval Base, R was announced this week. The bouts' will begin at 8 o'clock. A feature of the evening will .be a return bout between Joe Barmak and Vernon Dawson, both Coast Guardsmen. Barmak won over Dawson to take the heavyweight title in the first bouts on April 20, and the return match is expected to be more exciting as a result of the previous rival-

to these events, punch-filled card is being arranged by those in charge of the bouts. Several special attractions are promised to "add to the evening’s activity. Lieutenant Scardefield will assist with the bouts, which are being arranged by Jimmy Frain and James Greenwood. Tuesday’s bouts will feature most of the boxers who appeared in the first matches plus a number of new entries.

County Athletes Win In State Track Meet
George Purnell, Cape May High School's one-man track team, set a new high jump mark in Group I competition at Montclair Saturday. Purnell leaped to a height of 5 feet 11% inches to gain the first place gold medal. He placed second in his heat in the 100 qualifying to run the final, where he gained fourth place. He was nosed out of a place in the running broad jump by % of an inch. Oilie Roberson, Middle Township’s one-man track team, was entered in Group II and he made a first place in the shot put event with a 52-foot heave and went out to win the discus with avtoss of 129 feet

Clarence Henry Hawkins has left Cape May to begin his cadet training in the Army Air Corpa. He will undergo his pre-flight training, and upon completion of that course will go to an advanced tr*ining<fcase-, after which he will be commissioned’as a second lieutenant in the Army Air Corps. " Hawkins eplisted three months ago. He is married and has one child.

Clinton R. Sinnott, of Cape May Point, who died several weeks ago, left i personal estate of $5,000, according to his will probated on Wednesday in Philadelphia. — He left $1,000 to a grandnephew, J. Frederick Sinnott, 3d; the property at Cape May Point Marjorie Ham Alvarez, and left his real estate and insurance business to Adele H. Ham. Stating that under the will of his father, the late Joseph ” Sinnott, he was empowered bequeath $25,000 after the death of his wife, Sinnott gave $2,000 to the Little Sisters of the Poor; $2,000 to the Roman Catholic Church at the Point; $5,000 to the women’s auxiliary of St. Edmund’s Home for Crippled Children, Philadelphia; and a similar sum to St. James R. C. Church, Philadelphia, and St. Leonard Academy, and $1,000 to Albert Johnson, of Cape May Point.
