play “Mr. Pkn V. Milne which in Now York

and London for a year each is the current bill at the Cape Theatre. The cast is as follows: Olivia Harden, Helen Wagner; George Harden, Don De Jaeger; Dinah Harden, Glenn Smith; Anne, Gloria Goss; Mr. Pirn, W.

James BedeU.

A targe audience was charmed at the opening on Tuesday evening by the cleverness of the di-

situations, all handled . and typical Milne manner. This was perhaps up to the present Milne's greatest success. Although it is familiar to many theatregoers, it bears repeating, and it was thoroughly enjpyed both by those who had seen it before and by those to whom it is a first time. W. James Bedell, staging the play in a most capable manner, also played the name role in his own inimitable style, and had the audience eagerly awaiting each time his several anticipated and yet surprising entrances with news that always had the family upset Helen Wagner and John De leger were excellent as the husind and wife in the largest parts, and Dan Lounsbery and Glenn Smith were more than satisfactory in -the roles of' the younger people. Miss Crane contributed as usual an outstanding characerization. . C. Upham, director of the itre, announced this week the return engagement of Mias Mabel Taliaferro who will return to Cape May after an absence of five weeks. Playing in the first three shows of the season, she now comes back to be starred in the first professional production of a new play entitled '“Listen, My Children,” written by Clay Franklin. . The play, which will run through Saturday night, may go later to Broadway. The Junior Players successfully produced a difficult play on Sunday and Monday evenings. “Moor Bom,” the story of the Bronte sisters, was a hard assignment thst was well done under the caB able direction of Miss Dorothy L Crane. The cast was as follows: Dorothy Moore, Barbara Drake, Justine Johnston, Elizabeth Wilson, Mary Montague, Don Cameron, and Jack Deuel. This coming weekend the Junior Players will present an exciting mystery play, "Ladies in Waiting,” which was a peat success in London. This play should not be confused with “Ladies in Retirement," which was produced last year.
