Mr. and Mrs. Alex Smith entertained their grandson, Donald Kggertsen, and Edwin E. Danlinberg, of Maywood, for a week at their apartment at the corner of Congress street and Broadway. Mr. and Mrs. Smith had as weekend guests Mr. and Mrs. Charles Karastedt and Miss Mina Martin.

Mrs. Walter Barrows, of Riveraide, and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Kiefaber, of Philadelphia, were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. Arthur Hess for several days. Mrs. William . Jaeger has returned home where she is conva1 eating after an operation. Mrs. Lillian Vance, of Collingswood, visited her sister, Mrs. Ira Bell and her family, over Labor %y. . A. J. Johnson, who is employed in Philadelphia, accompanied by a friend, Harry Robertson, came down^br the holidays. Mr. and Mrs. James Gilmore and their family, of Roxborough, Pa., enjoyed several days’ stay at their summer home. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Reign ex and their sons, Bob and Bud, enjoyed the past week at the Gruber cottage. Mrs. Charles Ford, of Washington, D. C., enjoyed several days’ visit at her cottage. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Gil ton and their small children, Jerry and Judy Lee, were the guests of the latter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Wadenpfuhl, over the weekend. Mrs. Walter Fairbanks returned home on Tuesday after a vacation at their summer home. Dr. and Mrs; Ernest Choate and their daughters returned to their home at Jenkintown, Pa. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wright and their small son, Freddie, of Lansdowne. Pa., who have been summering at Avalon, visited .friends in the Point this week. Mrs. Wright is the former Miss Nsomi Cummings, s former summer resident Harry Shire y came down to spend • the holidays with his wife at their summer cottage. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Barstow, of Collingdale, Pa., were the recent guests of Mrs. Arthur Bretherick. Ensign and Mrs. Epoc, who have been staying at the Ford cottage on Holly avenue, left the Point this week. Mrs. Walter Kenworthy, who has been snmmering here, returned to her Philadelphia home with her husband on Tuesday. Dr. and Mra. John Pomfret and their son, John, have been enjoying a vacation at their summer home where they entertained guests. Mrs W. K. Weber, of Florence, N. J.. who has spent two weeks as the guest of Mr. and Mr?. John Corson here, was joined over the weekend by Mr. Weber.

Mrs. Randall Elliott has returned home after spending a week with her sister, Mrs. Harvey Yea neks. Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Garretson spent Saturday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Learning J. Hand. Seaman (1c) and Mrs. Irwin Swain returned to Toledo, Ohio, Monday after spending a furlough with relatives at Cape May and with his brother, Wilfred Swain and his family. Mrs. Robert Baremore, of Atlantic City, visited Mrs. Randall Elliott during the week. * Mrs. Nellie Elliott spent Wednesday with her daughter, Mrs. Mary Ford, in Burlington.
