He was elected as a commissioner in May, 1987, and was raelected in 194i. A native of South Dennis, Mr. Wentzell entered the building iniustry after completing Us schooUng. For several years he worked ss a shipbuilder and later as a building contractor before moving to Cape May more than 30 years ago. He had conducted a furniture business here since that time. Funeral services were held on Tuesday morning at 120 Congress street, the summer home of his ds ugh ter, under the direction tA Earl L. Hollingsead, mortician. The Rev. Walter E. Kelly, of the Church of Our Lady, Star of the Sea, officiated, and interment was made in St. Mary's Cemetery.
