The hoys of Company G, of (hi. city, did extremely well at the regimental competition and drill in Ibe Third Regiment's armory In Camden Saturday evening, and OapL Vance L Ealy has every reason to feel proud ! of tbem. The company lied with Company E, [ of Ht. Holly, lp the competitive drtllof all the companies of the battalion, ' but loal on ibe toss of a coin, aud In Individual work Sergeant Oscar Morey was second as the best drilled mau in the regiment of twalva companies, comprising about 600 men. The local company turned out 89 men and three officers, and they : looked line as they boarded the special car for Camden on Saturday afternoonThey were acoompauled by City Commissioner Wllllsm H. Campbell and Assemblyman Mark Lake. The mayors of all ths^towns from which theoompanlee balled were Invited to attend the reception, which was given Msyor Ellis, of Csmden. Msyor Champion was compelled to attend a big gathering of members of Oshlug . dubs In New Y'ork City that evening, so Commissioner Campbell went to Csmden as the representative of Ocean City.
