Lovett, of the State depart ment, is now giving drivers of machines a chance to demonstrate tbeir ability In handling cart, in addition to issuing licenses to owners and drivers of automobiles. Inspector Lovett Is at the police conn room in city hall on Monday. Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, the demonstrations taking plmce between 1 and 3 o'clock on each of these afternoons. He has granted a large numher of licenses, and for the first week he did nothing else while here, those desiring new licenses being compelled to go to Atlantic City. This was snrh a hardship to many that the order was changed. The guests of one of the hotels hive a joke on two of the patrons of the house, a man and wife. Illuminating it, while all other lights In the ehurch were turned out. The effect was beautiful and It gave the service an added touch fitting the occasion. The choir sang "Rail on." The Rev. Geo.
