f . f HAVE you ever wrestled with a window in a trolley which refused to budge? It's always > open when it's raining glued tight when you are suffocating. You bruise your fingers and strain your muscles in trying to make it 4-+++ work. If you could only put your foot through it! Some company, to allow such things to annoy its patrons. It's funny someone didn't fix it. But after you think of the bigger things the many large problems met aud satisfactorily dealt with to give you service, the little trouble you had with the window should be forgotten. Yet, there are some who will always run down the company because of some trivial experience. Ought not they mix with their blame some appreciation of the service rendered? Every day they are taken with speed and safety to their destination on time. • - You can judge any town by the class of its Realtors. Inactive Real Estate men mean dead cities. Where you fiud a thriving community, you find the Real Estate men chin deep in all of its activities. During the last two years we have had some problems ourselves to wrestle. During this period it has taken some hard figuring to house thousands of families in Ocean City during the summer season. A shortage of apartments and cottages existed. Then at times there seemed to be an avalanche of humanity that was eager, with apparent total disregard of costs, well supplied with money, made easy to be spent likewise, that swept down upon us for accommodations. We met the situation,, gave service, not the best, but good. We stumbled aud made glaring mistakes. You never heard of a service that was perfect— no human thing is. But we saw a chance for betterment and went to it. The refcult, ORGANIZATION, COOPERATION, PROTECTION. Seventeen men organized the Ocean City Real Estate Board. Seventeen REALTORS, if you please, conducting their respective offices under the rules and ethics of the National Association of Real Estate Boards, CO-OPERATING with one another to endeavor to improve our service to the public and PROTECTING ourselves and the public from unscrupulous practices detrimental to this business.
THE OCEAN CITY REAL ESTATE BOARD IS THE BIGGEST FACTOR ENCOURAGING PEOPLE TO COME TO OCEAN CITY. WE SPEND MORE MONEY THAN ALL OTHER BUSINESS CONERNS HERE COMBINED— YES, EVEN MORE THAN THE CITY ITSELF TO ATTRACT PEOPLE HERE. * » We started it growing— its progress depends largely upon our never ceasing efforts. Judge us on the same human basis you want to be judged yourself. Not by the little lacks, but by the bigger acts. Ocean City Real Estate Board CLAYTON HAINES BRICK MASSEY & EDWARDS JAMES M.
