I What You Hear on the Streets There is a great need for more all the year round Jiouseg that can be rented on the monthly basis; sufficient rents can be pro cured that will make them a good investment. Anyone who will interest themselves in this matter will receive the indorsement of the Real Estate Board, who will aid in every way possible. Zoning the city — This is another important matter that should be put into effect at an early date. Several properties have been depreciated in having objectionable buildings erected next to them or in the same vicinity. As it is today a man builds a handsome home costing several thousand dollars and is not protected in any way as to the class of building that can be built next door. There should be a designated area, removed from residential sections, where manufacturing plants, steam laundries, public garages ana business of like character should be located. Another year should not pass before we have this city zoned. The three months season — Ocean City seems to have outgrown the three months seasons. More people each year are realizing that the months of June and September are really enjoyable months. It is not uncommon now to make leases from April until late in October, and at least 75 per cent, of rentals made last year were for four months or longer. Mr. Rowland is taking the step in the right direction in opening the Lincoln Hotel for Easter to remain open the balance of the season. The hotel is heated throughout and wc predict a good business for the Lincoln from its opening. We look for the boardwalk merchants to co-operate. First-class hotel accommodations alone is not enough. People must have places of amusements. Let everybody encourage longer seasons. Watch the thousands pour into Ocean City this summer when the Automobile Bridge is free. Ocean City Real Estate Board Clayton Haines Brick Massey & Edwards James M. Chester Jo»«ph L.
