Prof. Ungcr hns been working for several weeks on n method by which the grade pupils may be better classified for tbe athletic events in which they are to take part on flsld day. Heretofore the pupils were classified according to their ages This wa* found to be unsatisfactory, for very often n little fellow had to compete against n larger fellow and he had little chance of winning. After taking the age. height and weight of all the grade pupils. the following classification waa made: Boys— Senior 13 years and over, and over 63 Inches In height Intermediate, 10. 11. 12 years, and less than 63 Inches In height. Junior. 7. 6. 9 years, and leas than 67 inches In height. Midget. 6. 6, 7 years, and leas than M Inches in height. Girts — Senior. 13 years and over, and over 62 Inches In height; Intermediate. 10. 11. 13 years, and less than 62 Inch, es In height; Junior. 7. 6. 9 years, and less than 66 Inches In height. Midget. 6. 6. 7 years, and less than 49 Inches In height. Boys and girts over either age or height will go into the class above. Sophoiuorcs' Parly. The members of the Sophomore Class gave a party In the assembly room of the high school Friday eveDing. April 16. Each member Invited a friend, and all bad an enjoyable evening. Prof, linger entertained them for nearly an hour with bis magic art, and mystified all with a fine line of new tricks. The moat remarkable was bis skill of growing flowers In a short Ume. A program for dancing was nicely arranged A lucky number dance was won by Fred Currie and Helen Ilreckley. for which they received a two pound box of chocolatss. There was a light lunch, consisting of "hot doggls'"sandwiches and oocoa, prepared by th* refreshment committee, under the dlrec tlon of (he Misses Julia Plleggl and Caroline Rodgers. These were served In the early part of the evening. Ctfd playing furnished amusement for iboae who did not danre. Mlas Marlon Trout and Leslie Hughes played for the danc as. lea cream and home-made cake, made by the girls of the cooking class, were served.
