This is Mr. Wright's seventh summer here. Brother Gildas, of Baltimore has arrived and opened the "Ocean Rest" at Thirty-second street, the summer school of the Christian Brothers. There is good fishing in the bay ' now. The Masons come in every day with a big catch anil peddle the fish. They report plenty of crabs. The Rev. Britton Peterson spent Saturday and Sunday with his family. He reports good work in his , evangelistic campaign -With thirty conversions last week. Carl Shaw, nephew of Mrs. Ruth Hayes, was badly burned at Bridge- ' ton by exploding powder. Three boys poured powder into a hole and lighted a match. His son, Paul, who is an instructor i in the University of Illinois, was here • a short time since, and he also was ' pleased with Ocean City. CLUB PLANS IMPROVEMENTS . The Oeean City Fishing Club is now up to its limit of 400 member?, and there U a long waiting list. The officers of the club are planning a number of big improvements to their house on the ocean front at Fourteenth street in the late fall, when two or three blocks of lioardwalk in that section of the resort are moved oceanward.
