One of g the features was the singing of "The ^ Heavens Are Falling," from "The Creation," the eight nibmbera of the (j ■iouble quartet forming a chorus that ^ could scarcely be excelled. #| Those who attend Sunday services a at the First M. E. Church feel part*- |( cularly exaultod spiritually by the ^ splendid music. The double quartet will be heard In this church every Sunday during the summer. No one should miss this opportunity of hearing some of Philadelphia"? best known vocal soloists. There is u special program each Sunday.: Dr. Handler, the pastor, delivered a brief and instructive sermon on L Sunday evening. (Ij BIG DAY FOR BAPTISTS Sunday proved a good tiny for the Baptists. An. overcrowded house in the morning greeted the pastor the Cc Rev. M. M. Lewis, who preached on "A Revelation of Jesus Chri*t",jDsing three texts from Revelations, Isaiah Si and John. it revealed Christ as : Diety, a suffering Redeemer ami a c conquering King of kings and Lord iC of lords. Joseph Wriggins, a local boy, formerly a member here, sang n very acceptable sols. A large and interested gathering of 7 people spent an hour in the Hippo- W drome Sunday evening. ' One of the 1C gripping features of the service was a duet by the song leatler and his F wife, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Oechler. g They sang that familiar piece "We Have an Anchor That Keeps the Soul," and the expression anil blend- , ing of voices was a real treat and * had its effect. The pastor preached from two words in the passage Luke 18:25. "Son Remember."
