HAD PLEASANT TIME Presbyterian Auxiliary Enjoyed Recitation* and Music The members and friend* of the Viaiting laities' Auxiliary of the First Presbyterian Church spent a ' most enjoykble afternoon on Monday at the Casino' Club. After the regular business, there were Recitations by Mis* Nora I.ippi, Mi** Rich and Mr*. C. Arthur. Then was also a musical program. Dr. Snyder gave a very interesting talk on "Dantd and the Message- of the Sunlit Hills." His talk next Monday will be on "Knitting." Come and bring your fancy work and enjoy the fellowship. The following served a* hostesses hurt Monday: Mr*. Wanl, Mr*. Streeter, Mr*. MeNair. Mr,. Wallace and Mrs. Snow. The Auxiliary will have a sale of fancy wprk jpd useful articles on, Friday afternoon and evening at Shriveri* Seaside Baths parilion. NEW ASSOCIATION FORMED On Monday August 8, the property owners of the Bay district met and formed what will be known as the "Bay Siile Civic Association." The purpose of this organisation is" to improve the Bay district which reaches from Ninth st. to the Bayous and from the Reading Railroad to the Bay front. This association has already shown what can be done by organised effort* as it* activities are responsible for the new Fifteenth and Bay trolley service. The electric lighting in that sectin^ ha* also been improved by the addition of several new arc lights. The officers of the association are: Mrs. C. W. Wilson, president; Mrs. John Dunaiore, vice president; Mrs. J. Barge r, secretary; Mrs. C. B. Carpenter, treasurer. The executive committee consists of Mrs. J. Wilbur, Mrs. Edw. Garro gues, Mrs. James Booth, Mrs. J. Dur.ir.uic, Mrs. J. Rowe. Mrs. Henry Keller-man is chairman of the Publicity committee. The next meeting will be held at the residence of the president Mr* 0. W. Wilson, 1838 Pleasure avenue, on Monday, August 29th, at 2 p. m. It will be to the advantage of all resilient* of this section to attend thi* meeting and a conlial welcome await* them. HOSPITAL BENEFIT Mrs. D. Bush rod James and Mrs. Wayne T. Killian will have a sale of useful articles, cakes and candy, at their apartments, 1888 Wesley avenue, on Friday afternoon, for the benefit of the Hahnemann Hospital Philadelphia.
