Perhaps the funniest stunt was the Beauty Contest, the boys having caught tlie |.ii it of the Atlantic City Pageant. They paraded twfoTf the audience mdhidually, the one receiving the : Iiutest amount of applause Ix-mg •lectured king. The winner was Daniel Silverlierg. "Pop" is original and drew many a laugh. - Karly irp the evening Mr-. Kenton Warne, president of the Hostess la-ague, in a very pleasing speech, paid tribute to the people whose support had made possible the carry- 1 ing on of the Hostess league work. She very graciously thanked the, hotel proprietors of the city who have been .a big factor in the work for their many courtesies. Mr. and Mrs. N. S. Golf, proprietors of GolT's Baths have been taking care of the laundry work of the league and allowing the boys the privilege of their * hath houses. Mrs. Warne said that these people could not be given too much credit v for the part that they had played.' What will be news to many people here is that in the four years the Hostess House has been in existence they have entertained nearly 3,000 men of the Army, Navy and Marine Corp. Since the armistice they have entertained over COO men from the hospitals. By their efforts thp ladies, have made a vacation possible for a lot of service men. Their motto evidently Is: "It is more blessed to give than to receive." SENTINEL ads bring results.
