MOVEMENT STARTED To Have SniU Dismissed Against -f County Freeholder)! \f Jtepotfs have reached Ocean City frdSMfie central and southern sections Ic of Cape May County that a movement si has been startetl to petition the court c< to dismiss the remaininic suits against o the mem her} of the Cape May County * Board of Freeholders, accused of h dereliction of duty anil malfeasance in office, ort the (pounds that a person » cannot lie charged with an offense on r which he has been acquitted. f The Keneral opinion , among those b Y who have followed the two cases dis- s Y poseil of in the court is that (he ex- r I pected sensation did not develop and t J that it would be a waste of money to f continue the proceedings, as the two f mentioned were not found guilty. <1 SPORT FOR MAN WITH GUN 'c ' A distinct feature of Ocean City I that is known to a few and over- f looked hy mdhy is tHe excellent shooting to be enjoyed during the fall. On October 16th the ducking 'season opens. There are more wild fowl i along the beaches and in the meadows ( and over the bays this year than there i has been for some time. ' Mud hen, yellow leg, reed birds, I geese and wild duck are some of the J game that can be found in abundance ' nearby. Along the hay front will be j found boats and competent guides anil ■ there are also hotel facilities. There i apparently is no reason why Ocean ! City, with all i^ has to, offer in this i line, cannot cater to the sportsmen I and build up a clientel that would . x take advantage of the shooting year after year. Evidently the reason that this has not been done is because it is not generally known that Ocean City* has something to offer the man with the gun as well as the man with the roil. CELEBRATED ANNIVERSARY Mr. and Mrs. Joseph C. Gilford cele- { brateil their twenty-first wedding anniversary recently and received the congratulations of a host of friends. They celebrated the occasion by taking their family on a visit to the home of Mr. Gilford's sister, Mrs. E. Duberson, at Mays Landing. Lost something?
