MOVEMENT STARTED To Havr .Suit* Dismissed Against 1 County Freeholder* \ " Reports have reached Ocean City from the central and southern sectioit* I of Cape May' County that a movement has been started to petition (he court c to dismiss the remaining suits uftaihst "« the member- of the Ciipe May County » Hoard nf Freeholders, accused of i dereliction, of duty. and malfeasance in utfire, on the ground* that a person * .cannot be charged with an offense on r which he has been acquitted. The general opinion among those t who have followed the two cases dls- t poked of b» the court is that the ex- > peeled sensation did not develop and t that it would be a waste of money to continue tbq. pf«>ceedins*. as the two I ■ mentioned were not found guilty. • srolfr F'»R MAN WITH GUN < A distinct feature of Ocean City I that is known to a few anil over- I looked hy many is the excellent shoot- i ing to lie en joyed during the fall. On October tilth the ducking season opens. There arc more wild fowl i along the beaches and. in the meadows ( and over the hays this year than there i has been for some time. 1 Mud .hen, yellow teg. reel birds. I geese and wild duck are some of the I game that can lie found in abundance ' nearby. Along the hoy front will be : found boats and competent guides and i there arc also hotel facilities. There i apparently is no reason why Ocean ! City, with all it has to offer in this ; line, cannot cater to the sportsmen i and build up a clientel that would X take advantage of the shooting year after year. Evidently the reason that this has not been done is-because it is not generally known that Ocean City has something to offer the man with the gun as well as the man with the roil. CELEBRATED ANNIVERSARY Mr. and Mrs. Joseph C. Gilford celebrated their twenty-first wedding anniversary recently and received the congratulations of a host of friends. They celebrated the occasion by taking their family on a. visit to the home of Mr. Gilford's sister, Mr*. E. Duberson, at Mays Ijtnding. Lost something?
