Everybody Boosting Ocean City's Carnival Shore Fa^Liiic Helps With Publicity— Cos, tomer Here— Route of Parade Decided Upon

Yes, the Progressive League started it but, by Ginger! everybody in the I , dty has put their shouMer to the wheel "Jm, I they are working every minute of their time to make Ocean City's 1921 Hallowe'en Carnival the biggest ami bejt ever. •You cant' treat this spirit of cot- operation. Why even the khMies are „ chipping in with their nickles, The Carnival ami Revue will be kepf on the avenue ami will u«-t terminate on the boardwalk as was previously planned. A hand Man. I will ire erected in the middle of the biodf between Eighth ami. Ninth street- from which, the judges will review the Pageant to be followed by the Carnival and Revue. Arrangements have been made to have the land playing for the dancing and merry-makingV, pie gala occasion willNnwn Monday afternoon. October SlX^vjjlli a . foot ball gome and there will I* a hand on hand to mike things merry. . Elmer Jackson Pearl, who is running this end of the affair, is endeavoring to arrartge a game between the Ameri can legion of this city, and the Key- ( stone Athletic Association of Atlantic City. r-.raf,*.l hen.tiiiinrters will tie pstalr- ,

llnhed in the office of Frank E. Darby. This will also be a bureau of informa- j lion for the convenience of the visl- . tors. H is planned to have a group of messengers constantly on hand to art as guides. There will ho a special ; prite offered for the best dressed window and the merchants will have* to go some to outdo the window displays . of last year. Starting with Monday, Octolrer 21, it is requested that everyone who intends participating in the fun will call at Hughes' Central Pharmacy for registration and a designation curd. This is really necessary to avoid the confusion of last year. Final instructions for the organisations will be published in the Sentinel of October 27. The route of the parade is is follows: From Thin! and Asbury— march on Asbury to Fourteenth Ft. — counter march on Asbury- to Twelfth »t. on Twelfth to Central— on Central to Tenth— on Tenth to Wesley — on Wesley to Sixth— on Sixth to Ocean — on Ocean to Ninth — Ninth to Central — Central to Seventh— Seventh to Asbury — Asbury to Ninth— and disband after passing the traffic sign at the Intersection. Following this route the pageant will pass the reviewing stand «•" twice and give the judges a fair chance to make their ilecision. 1t is requested that all other residents along the line of the parade illuminate in the very best way possildeland bum flares. Arrangements are being made now to secure a supply of redflre which can be purchased from the local merchants. The priirs will be on display in the windows of the Read Hardware Company as soon as they have been secured. The publicity of Ocean City's Carnival has reached far and wide, it Is being sent out by wireless; slides are being run in the moving picture F f ran te page stories have been securehJn any number of papers, and through" (he courtesy of the management of the Shore Fast line Railroad the big orange posters are displayed in every station from Somers Point to Longport and St poster will be placed In every trolley car that turns a wheel in Atlantic City. George Tuthill will be marshal! oi the parade and will select his own aiiles.

Miller, the Customer from Philaite!phia, will I* here with his trunks. 11 about five days before the carnival and can l>c found in the buibiing. formerly the Payjfcr Miller ice cream parlor ojy_Jbrf>ury avenue. The securing of j Mr. Miller to cpmc here w !r an exceptionally good piece of luck as it , , will give those without costumes a | s chance to secure something' right up to the minute. In fact, the ro-ope lotion of Mr. Miller wii! make the ean.it * vnl resemble a Congress of the NaDon"t forget there Is a supply of the golden rod stationery to .be se- | cured by just calling at the Chaml>er - of Commerce Information bureau. This is very attractive and appropriateJor the occasion and many of the people in the city are using it to Invite their friends here for the carnival. NOTICE I w ish to (hank the voters of Cape May County, who gave me their support at the primary and although -tie- - fcated, will say I fought as good a fight and spent as much time in the campaign as rtrv business would perI feel it was u fair-primary fight between gentlemen. Mr. Kay won and as a loyal Republican 1 expect to support the regular nominees, Wm. H. Bright fpr Senator ami Robert J. Kay for Assemblyman, and sincerely hope both candidates will roll up splendid majorities on election day. Respectfully, JUDSON B. CORSON. Adv. Palermo, N.
