now about time for the winter flounder to come in the inlets, replacing the ■-ummer flounder. that have l>een very plentiful since early spring this year. The Winter fish are appearing nil the coast, and torn cods. Tug ami w hi ting can lie look*) for any time. Some fishermen say they have caught , The summer flounder, or plaice, are working out of the inlets in deeper' water off shore, while the winter flounder, or fluke, are coming in the inlets. The fluke do not grow as big as the plaice, hut they will bite the hook until cold weather. There is little else to fish for just now, and very fevyjghermcn using hook and line. \ The bays urc full of ducks now, but as a rule they, sit out In the middle of the hay and laugh at the gunners, so to speak. The Jaw doesn't allow gunning from sail or power bouts, unless within n short distance of shore, consequently there is littles chance of getting wild fowl in nice weather. Guides are locating the herds of deer and tracking out their favorits runs and eating spots so as to lie ready to take their parties where they can find the game when the season opens in December.
