GHADWICK'S SLUGGERS BOMBARD WOODBINE . AROUND THE STOMP LONG SHOWS MID-SEASON FORM V — TOWNSEND WEIL As ONE j j DEADLY WALLOP Chad wick's boys paraded a sterling brand of ball on Saturday afternoon,; , | in the (fame staged between the Ocean' Qty All-Stars and the Woodbine nine. Long was surely some hurler from the mound, and kept the "Bines guessing all the time, whether-the ball had navigated the plate, Or was still in his hand. The game was due the Chadwick sluggers in the first two innings. Long held the opponents to one solitary blngle; deserving a shut out victory, but for two slight errors on the part of the team. His control was wonderftl and aim deadly, fanning nine batsmen with

ease. On the other hand for the Woodbine nine, Stein first took the mound. Prom the first he -was so bombarded, that he had to give the place to Bender. Bender was more successful; still the All-Stan soon figured out his i number, and began hammering his balls all around the stump. Townsend played a stellar game at| the bat, registering three safe wallops to his tally In fine style.
