LOGArPQLIGE HAVE ESTABLISHED FINE RECORD m SEASON 36 AUTOMOBILES REPORTED LOST ALL OF WHICH WERE RECOVERED Ocean City m»y boast a Police Department which has established an enviable record for efficiency and devotedness to duty. Probably no other resort can offer an equal record. - During the summer months 36 automobiles were reported to have been stolen, all of which were recovered. In some otses the automobile was restored to the owner within a few hours after it had been reported lost. The major portion of the machines disappeared during the first two weeks of August, the very bu- : siest time of the season. Traffic regulations were rigid- . !y enforced, and with practically no friction. The police court re- , cords show only offences of a minor character, an indication that the city was in every respect properly poH eed. Now that the summer season has drawn to a close, the strength of the force has been reduced to ; almost one-fourth, which number according to Chief of Police John- ] son, will be sufficient to meet any ■ emergency which may arise dor- , ing the winter. The highest tributes have also been paid to the department, by 0

other cities which have had to so-j licit its assistance in the of some person wanted. .
