This Year $3300,000 We suited the year with plans for the greatest telephone construction program ever attempted in southern New Jersey. • , We expected to add S3.000.000 in new equipment to the Bell System in this territory. , But the tremendously increasing demands for telephone service hive forced us to revise ottr figures upward. By December 31. 1*23. we will have placed in one year S3.500.000 worth cf new equipment, new telephones, new wire, new switchboards, new Central Office equipment, and new buildings. And our 1 924 construction program will probably run to $4,000, 0d0. All this in spite of the fact that the three preceding years were greater than any six years in the telephone history of the state. We are building — building to keep pace with the denundy of the peofJe of South Jersey for telephone service. The Delaware and Atlantic Telegraph & Telephone Co. W. W.
