' LOU A I. MERCHANT ENJOYS HUNTING IN PIKE COUNTY Returns With Rag or Pheasants and Many .{peasant Memories E. t". Iiussell, the well known and esteemed butter merchant on Asbury Avenue, has returned from his u-ual annual hunting expedition .through Pike County. | Mr. Russell was away ten days.' I •'' joying, to fullest measure the fine (mountain air. and the exciting j Mr. Russell's particular bent in ''gunning is the pheasant, a sport by many considered to be the most l ideal of all. The cunning of the i birds in seeking cover, and their | rapid an.l curious flight through ' the air when disturbed furnishes a thrill not to be found in other forms of game hunting. The party upon this occasion centered their hunting in the vicin-.-f Parker's Glen, a few miles ' , removed from the York State line. Birds were not very plentiful i thii year, so Mr. Russell declared. Nevertheless, he succeeded in ' bringing down n goodly bag, as ' also ilid other members of the ' party. The party included together with Ru-sell, W, B. Rudder, Thom uWilkinson, J. W. Collier, George Gill, J. Ralph Clark. H. Price, a gentleman hailing from Virginia, .and Joseph Wood. Baseball fanwill remember the last named as| the celebrated Boston pitcher. No Doube About It Snoopie — "I see by the newspa1 pei,- that chorus girls in London are now wearffig monocles." II 1 7* Why Build Now? That's a fair question. Many commercial organizations, when they find construction is high, wait for more advantageous conditions But we can't wait. When Jeople want telephones there is nothing for us to do but buiid —build to meet the demand. That's what we're doing right now. We're pouring into South jersey new telephone equipment as fast as factories, working day and night, can turn it out. It's the only way to give people of southern New Jersey the service they are asking. The Delaware and Atlantic Telegraph CI Telephone Co. W. W. Brtusln *„ mccr. we sm». r on* *"««■ Tm"m """ """* .
