YOU can judge the endurance of a Carey Built-up Roof when you consider the fact that it is built up with from three to five layers of roofing felt, and is cemented with asphalt between the layers and coated on top. Many steep roof buildings are roofed only with a single layer of asphalt roll roofing, without coating, and give a long period of service. Naturally, then, a three layer roof, built up with coatings, makes a decidedly per* manent roof for the most permanent buildings. We can give you a built up roof made of asbestos felts or one made of rag felts. The asbestos felts have superior acid resisting properties, while the rag felts are unusually tough and elastic. Let us discuss your roofing conditions and necessities and suggest the right type of roof for your particular kind of building. C. H. JUL THE WORLD WAS ' REPRESENTED HERE THRU LAST SUMMER MANAGER MATT SAVAGE HAS i INTERESTING REPORT OF THE SEASON tmmmmmammmrnm Evidently all the "world and his t wife" were duly represented by die visitors who came to this resort (during the past summejV and availed thein*elve.s of the hospital(ity offered them by the city at the ' Municipal Pier and Heat Room. Under the able management of Matt Savage, the Rest Room became an ushet of inestimable value. : Many new feature.-, were introduced I by him for the comfort of the viri'tors. Order and quiet prevailed at all times, and the children were taught to recognize the claims of - their elders when seats were scarce. . As a medium of valuable publicity to the city, the Municipal Rest Room could not he excelled. The , register kept by Manager Savage is a volume of revelations. Probably few persons in the city have even a remote conception of the number of people from distant lands who visited this city during, the past summer. The register shows twenty-two from China, in-! eluding a Chinese Princess and her : sister; four from Japan; one from Siam; one from Cairo, Egypt; two from Jerusalem, the Holy Land; one from Venice, Italy; one from Sicily; six from Germany, Cobleni, Hanover and Czecho-Slavonia; four from Spain; eighteen from Paris, including several counts and countesses; three from England; four; from Scotland; six from Ireland; two royal ladies from Sweden; one from Nova Scotia; twenty-four from Canada; three from Alaska; three from Cuba; one from Haitii; one from the Bermuda Islands; one from Nicaraugua; two from the ; Argentine Confederation; two from! Peru; one from Bulgaria; one from Australia; three from New Zealand; one from Zululand, Africa;! one from Honolulu; one from Fiji Islands; and one from Columbia, South America. In addition, every state in the : Union was represented with the exception of New Mexico, Idaho, and j South Dakota. This is a wonderful record. In preparing his register, Manager 1 Savage secured a wealth of valuable information which should be capitalized to its fullest value. DANCING MASTER IN TOWN Mr. and Mrs. C. Elwood Carpenter were visitor to town during the week. Mr. Carpenter is the wellknown proprietor of the Casino , Club, one of the most popular places of entertainment on the ] Boardwalk. As a teacher of dancing, Mr. • Carpenter has few equals in this 1 section of the country, and each summer has increased his patrons j at the Casino ifcry considerably. \ — -
