The Christmas entertainment j given at the Strand Theater on; Friday afternoon by the pupils of the schools was in every sense of the word a triumph. Under the di-' rection of Miss Louisa T. Corson,1 supervisor of music, the singing was throughout of a high standard of excellence, and the individual performers did excellently. Miss Corson demonstrated her special qualifications for the work in a most convincing manner, and! her efforts were loudly applauded by the audience which filled the ^ spacious auditorium. The following program was rendered: Vocal Duet — "Silent Night." • Misses Marisou Sinkenson and Mary Collisson. "Under the Stars," — Miss Eleasej Wheatley. Preparatory School football team ' this season, was presented with a gold football by the team. It was understood at the beginning of the season that one sucl\| gift would be presented to the players who showed the greatest interest and spirit in the game throughout the season. At the annual banquet, Marley was the honored player and received the gold charpi. Congratulations, old timer! . • » * SENIOR CLASS TO GIVE BENEFIT SUPPER Tho Senior Class of the O. C. H. S. expects to give a benefit supper in one of tho local churches after the holidays. The class realized nearly fifty dollars on the turkey chance last Saturday. The proceeds will go towards defraying the expenses of their trip to Washington in the spring. They need all the assistance, financially, they can get. * • ♦ TWO PROFESSORS PRESENTED WITH CAKES Prof. James M. Stevens and Prof. O. W. Reichly were on Friday afternoon presented with a fruit cako each, made by the girls of the Domestic Science Department of Ocean City School. Miss Marion Brown made the one presented to Prof, Stevens, while Miss Uiura Downman made the presentation to Prof. Reichly. ♦ * # HOME FOR CHRISTMAS Scott Adams, formerly of the local High School, now a student at Trinity College, was home for the holidays. .
